A Case of fibrous dysplasia of the orbital bone

Abstract
|
|
|
A number of bone diseases may affect the orbital bone decreasing the orbital volume and narrowing the optic canal, giving rise to unilateral exophthalmos and usually optic atrophy.
But Fibrous Dysplasia of the orbital bone is very rare disease and have characteristic X -R pictures and histopathological findings. Only few cases of Fibrous Dysplasia of the orbital bone were reported in the literature.
The author reported a case of Fibrous Dysplasia who had been operated in this hospital for the exophthalmos of left eye. Also literature were reviewed.
